  • Drum rolls please... Now for the long ago promised update.

Evelyn and Everett graduate from Notre Dame this weekend. They are so glad that they are done with school...well, for now at least.

Eva has finished her second year at Saint Mary's. She is working full time this summer to earn enough money to pay for textbooks, only to empty her pockets again in the fall. Sigh...what a life.

Ethan is enjoying having his siblings all at home again so he can play with them, though his definition of "play" often means his teasing them to death.

Mom and Ethan are going to California to see grandparents for two weeks. Sigh...again... if only we could go with them.

Dad is doing great. He is getting the ground ready for our vegetable garden. Hopefully, this year we will get to eat as many of the vegetables we grow as the wild animals end up getting.

Okay, enough of puttering around with the small news. The question that is on everyone's mind is what Evelyn and Everett are doing now that they are about to graduate. Well, Everett is still praying and seeking the Lord's will on this. In the mean time, he is working. Lord willing, he will go to medical school in the near future.

Now for Evelyn, this is probably the most exciting news that our family has, has been courting for the past 4 1/2 months. The young man is Stephen Wesco who is our pastor's son. He is a great guy (Evelyn especially thinks so), but most importantly, he loves God with all his heart, soul and mind, and desires to serve and glorify Him in all that he does.

Anyway, last Friday, he asked Evelyn to marry him, so, Evelyn is now engaged.

Before anyone else asks (hint, hint, we've been asked this question too many times), they do not have a wedding date set yet. We will let you all know the date, once we find out ourselves.

Okay, okay, I know you are all sick of words, and are just DYING to see the pictures. Here they are...

  •   We've failed in our promise of posting, but we cannot forget this special day - Eva's birthday!!!

God has blessed us so much with this wonderful, loving sister. Besides baking us irresistible desserts, playing the flute, and other skills, her servant's heart is one of the greatest blessings to us. Whenever she sees a need, she is usually the first to respond to it.

We love her very much. Happy Birthday to the most wonderfullest sister ever!!!

  • When you think of us (or as you're reading this) please pray for Evelyn, Everett, and me--we really need it. We are on our last week of school with finals just around the corner. We are completely exhausted physically and mentally and just about everyone in our family are fighting colds. We are SOOO looking forward to Christmas Break!

We will definitely post something more exciting than this (and hopefully with pictures too) during Christmas Break.
